Erasmus+ is the main driver of this vision, supporting key objectives such as student and staff mobility, internationalisation at home, and the development of academic partnerships that enhance the quality of education and research.
Participation in Erasmus+ enriches both teaching and learning by bringing new perspectives into the classroom and encouraging curriculum innovation. Exchanges with European universities and industries help align academic content with labour market trends and foster employability skills among students. At the same time, UC actively supports inclusive access to mobility, with particular attention to participants with fewer opportunities. Blended and online formats make international experiences more accessible and flexible, especially for those with work, family, or special needs.
The International Office plays a central role in promoting Erasmus+ across the university, encouraging deeper integration of mobility and cooperation projects within academic planning and quality assurance processes. This strategic approach strengthens UC's global network, enhances the student experience, and supports the institution's broader mission of preparing graduates for success in a globalised world.
UC is fully aligned with the digital transformation promoted by Erasmus+, seeing it as a path toward greater efficiency, sustainability, and accessibility. The university has implemented digital solutions across all stages of the mobility process, including Online Learning Agreements (OLAs), the Erasmus+ App, and the use of the Inter-Institutional Agreement Manager (IIAM) for partner agreements.
UC is also an active participant in the Erasmus Without Papers (EWP) initiative and contributes to national efforts to promote paperless administration. These innovations support a smoother experience for students and staff, reduce administrative burden, and reflect UC's broader commitment to innovation and digital learning. Blended and virtual exchanges are not only practical solutions - they are strategic tools for more inclusive and environmentally sustainable international education.
Unicollege (UC) is also making strategic use of the Erasmus+ programme to support collaborations and exchanges with institutions within and beyond Europe. Since the introduction of the International Credit Mobility (ICM) component within Erasmus+, UC has provided mobility funding for student exchanges with partners in countries such as Taiwan, Argentina, Kosovo, and previously, Russia.
Please note: in response to the invasion of Ukraine, Unicollege has temporarily suspended institutional partnerships with Russian universities. This suspension includes all incoming and outgoing mobility of students and staff under the Erasmus+ programme until further notice.
Unicollege holds the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) awarded by the European Commission, which grants the right to take part in the Erasmus+ programme and sets out the principles of all programme activities. The Charter and the Erasmus Policy Statement are published below.
